Pantomime: Cinderella
Devonshire Park Theatre
Eastbourne
10 Dec 2010 - 16 Jan 2011
Eastbourne has an excellent line up for the 2010/2011 pantomime Cinderella
"Eastender" Gillian Wright is probably grateful that she can escape the rather mad character of Jean Slater for a while to be a more serene fairy Godmother instead.
The lovely Claire Buckfield (2.4 Children, Little Shop Of Horrors etc) makes a welcome return to the Devonshire Park theatre as does Tony Adams who was last at the theatre in Last Of The Summer Wine.
They are joined by Rachel Jerram, Richard Pocock (another former DPT artist) and Eastbourne's favourite "dame" Martyn Knight who this year plays an ugly sister.

It's a great cast which should prove popular with both young and old audience members alike.
The Eastbourne panto season is longer this year running from 10 Dec to 16 January so there are many performances to choose from both before and after Christmas.

After sitting through the awful Cinderella The Musical in Brighton last week, Eastbourne came up trumps for a real good old fashioned panto. The real test of any panto is if you go deaf with the kids yelling at the top of their lungs. This show passed that test within the first ten minutes.10/10.Well done to all concerned. My first Eastbourne panto. I shall be back for Robin Hood, no problem. Mike Lang @langmike29@gmail.com.
